Meaning
editIs the song simply a dystopian prophecy on the 21st century or is it given through the eyes of a schizoid man?
What I'm saying is, is the song about a dystopian future or is it about a man who sees what he believes to be a dystopian future?
Whatever the enaswer is it would be necessary to note it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.230.79.95 (talk) 23:20, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- I suppose that's the subject of interpretation and it should likely be left to the listener to infer what the contents of the song convey. -Xvall --66.253.36.46 (talk) 02:11, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Stub
editDoes the page really merit having a //stub// tag? MKV 23:40, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've removed the stub tag. Granted, this article can be expanded (and I may add to it later myself), but I think it's currently more than just a stub, considering it describes the lyrical idea, some basic music structure, and some performance history. Besides, how much can be written about an individual rock song w/o it turning into a critic review, instead of an encyclopedia article? x 20:24, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Under "Legacy"
editI notice that there are two covers mentioned. I fail to see how anyone could've missed the one by the Crimson Jazz Trio.... I'd add it, but I don't really know how to follow proper procedure for doing so.
April Wine also covered the song on their Platinum album, "Harder . . . Faster." I don't know how to add that either. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 801greg (talk • contribs) 10:51, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
- I added these two as best I could. Plus another one. -- JSchid (talk) 12:04, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
Ozzy Osbourne covered the song on his 2005 album "Under Cover". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.47.201.172 (talk) 04:21, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Appearance in video games
editI made this section and moved some content that was in the introduction to the article to this location because it didn't strike me as suitable for being included in the introduction as it has nothing to do with the basic nature or description of the song. If anyone has a better idea on how to organize that content, then do so - it just doesn't make sense to be part of the introduction to a song that happens to appear in a video game, as it existed long prior to the video game as a stand-alone work and isn't exclusively associated with the video game. Bad Religion reference
editThe punk rock band Bad Religion references this song in its song "21st Century Digital Boy," with the title an obvious allusion and an ad-lib verse at the end quoting some of this song's lyrics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.234.44.10 (talk) 04:10, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
