Percentages

2024 was the the first year for many where three candidates were in each ward, due to the boundary changes. It is not possible for most wards to be compared with previous years. The percentage of the number of votes each candate recieved and is calculated on the total votes in the ward plus spoit ballots. While I appreciate other views may vary on how that is calculated, it is consistent with the history of the council and how it calculated in other areas. If others want to see different numbers - I would suggest adding those calculations, rather than overwriting. Fluffball70 (talk) 20:10, 9 May 2024 (UTC)

@Fluffball70 Hello, as I specified on my user talk page once you left a message, please can you highlight where else this calculation method has been used? It is not the precedent by any means, and it seems like you are imposing a calculation system of your choosing. I would like to point you to North Herts council, which has also switched, yet it includes the precedented calculations. Regards Quinby (talk) 20:37, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
