Will County Police set up a perimeter around the homes of Nance's family at about midnight on January 21/22 but Nance's family members presumably were already deceased (unless they did a terrible job at surveillance and haven't told anyone). Police then decided to approach one of the houses and that is when they discovered the bodies on January 22. While I'm not going to change it back to only having occurred on January 21 be aware of the uncertainty surrounding the date of the killings of Nance's family.
