Leon
edit"Club León were the title holders, but they did not qualify for this tournament through the slots for Liga MX teams, or the 2023 Leagues Cup and were unable to defend their title."
Is this true? If Monterrey, Tigres, or America end up in the Top 3 of Leagues Cup, then will Leon not qualify as the seventh-placed league team? 2600:1700:B571:4850:B59A:8A75:872B:A4BF (talk) 04:17, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- CONCACAF did not announce yet (as far as I know) how to proceed if a team in the top 3 of the Leagues Cup already holds a spot in the Champions Cup.
- Possible might be that the next best club from the respective league gets the spot or the next best club from Leagues Cup. Thmetzi (talk) 07:42, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- I'd bet all the money I have that they are waiting for how Miami does. If they lose to Philadelphia in the semifinals, and if I know how CONCACAF works, I'd bet they will suddenly determine that the 4th place team in Leagues Cup deserves the spot. They aren't turning down a golden chance to have Messi in their Champions League. 108.2.168.139 (talk) 20:35, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- From CONCACAF, "Monterrey are already qualified for the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup, meaning a victory for Rayados on Tuesday would result in Liga MX being awarded with an additional slot to a currently non-qualified team that has the next greatest number of regular season points in the overall season". That would make Leon next team up and would also mean that you'd've lost that bet. BLAIXX 02:48, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- Probably Late But Monterrey lost to Both Nashville FC And Philadelphia Union. Meaning Liga MX Will not get a Additional Slot Unless CONCACAF Says that Liga MX Will Before the Tournament. You Just "Lost The Bet" BLAIXX Orange Anomaly. (talk) 03:11, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
- If you read the discussion, you'll see that the hypothetical bet was if CONCACAF would wait for the result of the Miami semifinal before announcing the fall-back criteria. They didn't wait. But yes, once Monterrey lost the 3rd-place match, Leon could no longer qualify. BLAIXX 17:43, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
- Alright. Thanks for Clearing it Up. Orange Anomaly. (talk) 14:06, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not so sure León can't qualify.
- Given MLS Cup's champion goes in through the Round of 16, what happens if Nashville or Philly wins MLS Cup? It's quite possible that they take the Round of 16 berth for winning the Cup, and pass their now-vacated Leagues Cup berth to Monterrey. This, in turn, would lead to Monterrey passing a berth down to León.
- Mind you, CONCACAF hasn't come out and said what happens in this scenario - they need to. Wjmorris3 (talk) 03:35, 24 September 2023 (UTC)

FC Cincinnati
editFC Cincinnati has to get a berth now. They're at 62 points and 18 wins. Only four teams can catch them: Orlando City (possible 65 points), New England (64 points), Philadelphia (64 points), and St. Louis City (62 points, 19 wins.)
But Philadelphia is already safely in Champions Cup, having finished 3rd in Leagues Cup. And if St. Louis were to pass Cincinnati, they'd win the Western Conference regular season title in doing so, meaning they'd also go to Champions Cup.
Worst Cincinnati can do is finish as the second of the two highest teams, not already qualified. That's a berth.
Places in Fifa Club World Cup 2025
editQualified Teams are CF Monterrey (competing in this Competition), Seattle Sounders FC (this year not qualified) and Club Leon (this year also not qualified) Additional Mexican Teams can only qualify if they win this Competition.
If this year Monterrey wins also the Cup a Team of a 4 Year Ranking would qualify now My Question:
Hello Guys, in the article of FIFA Club World Cup we are not united with the Question: Who goes through to Club World Cup when Monterrey as Winner in this 4 Year Period win again ? Mexican Teams only can take additional part if the win for the third time (for example Cruz Azul is out because they aren't in this competition same as in Europe FC Liverpool (don't compete in UCL this year)) Does the Host place for the USA reduce their possible places in CONCACAF or can they get 3 Places (including the host) ? - The short answer is that no one knows. The current information from FIFA is ambiguous so we don't know if the host berth counts towards the cap of two teams per country. We'll have to wait and see. BLAIXX 20:58, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah and until we have it confirmed by reliable sources we shouldn't be listing it anyway, so we will just have to wait for now. Jay eyem (talk) 21:05, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for your answer...
- On US Soccer side and the CONCACAF side is also nothing to see or I didn't found it ? 16 Months to go but not to much Information for a Tournament like that... Eschmer71 (talk) 05:57, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
- According to FIFA's official rankings, Philadelphia is "currently qualified" based on their ranking which implies that the host slot does not count towards the limit of 2 teams per country. BLAIXX 03:40, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for this great link I haven`t seen before who are you rooting for CONCACAF Champions League ? My favourite team is Bayern Munich but at the moment we have a bit problems Bayer Leverkusen will be German Champions for their first time in History. Eschmer71 (talk) 08:49, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
