Impact risk corridor edit

Once there is a reliable source for the impact risk corridor, this map I made may be added to the article.

Uncertainty edit

the JPL SBDB has an Uncertainty on the order of a few million km. -- Kheider (talk) 22:23, 16 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

The stretch of the LOV is given as "semi-major axis" in the JPL close approach table. It has the same meaning as what the other sources call "stretch". It gives the 1-sigma width of the LOV, i.e. the uncertainty in position. Note that the JPL's min/max miss distance is calculated out to 4 or 5 sigma, hence why those values are larger.Renerpho (talk) 22:54, 16 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
I have linked expected value and standard deviation from the table, to resolve the potential confusion that might arise about the meaning of "nominal distance" and "position uncertainty".Renerpho (talk) 00:24, 17 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
