One of the reasons why I am not that interested in adding umpires to these pages! Often suspect they are not correct (especially not before the games start, but even after). Not really sure what value it adds anyway to be honest. Bs1jac (talk) 13:08, 19 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Bs1jac: It's because of the article List of Twenty20 International cricket umpires. Also User:Lugnuts is one of the few editors who cares about umpires. Umpires are an important part of a cricket match. And I dont youre allowed to be a player and umpire in the same series. Human (talk) 13:16, 19 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I have just never felt it's important to include the umpires on the summaries. I wasn't saying we shouldn't include them, just that it doesn't add much value at this level. Scorers, sub fielders, type of cricket ball (Duke's, Reader, Kookaburra), surface (grass or mat), weather conditions are all important to a cricket match too. Thanks both - I'll keep an eye on this page and update the umpires list when it's sorted. For a second I thought he was listed in the team that played in the match AND as the umpire. That would have made for some great on-field decisions! LugnutsFire Walk with Me 16:34, 19 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
