As of 10:45 AM EST, the senate race, according to the Associated Press, has Jon Ossoff leading the votes at 50.2% and 2,211,603 votes while David Perdue has 49.8% of the votes and 2,194,578 votes. I'd change one digit if the article weren't protected

The phrase "will give the Democrats control of the Senate for the first time since 2014" warrants a small change: although the 2014 midterms caused the transition from Democrats' control to Republicans' to which this refers, the Republican control did not begin until (January) 2015.
