Hello, I am planning on reviewing this article for GA Status, over the next couple of days. Thank you for nominating the article for GA status. I hope I will learn some new information, and that my feedback is helpful.

If nominators or editors could refrain from updating the particular section that I am updating until it is complete, I would appreciate it to remove a edit conflict. Please address concerns in the section that has been completed above (If I've raised concerns up to references, feel free to comment on things like the lede.)

I generally provide an overview of things I read through the article on a first glance. Then do a thorough sweep of the article after the feedback is addressed. • The 2019 Berlin Marathon was the 46th edition of the annual marathon race held in Berlin, Germany, held on 29 September 2019. - lede sentences are supposed to be the best one, to explain what the article is about. This one leads on a bit. Repetition of "held". "The 2019 Berlin Marathon was a marathon race held in Berlin, Germany on 29 September 2019. • The lede is very short. Just covers that it is a race, and then who won.   • I couldn't find any details on the conditions of the race but I added a sentence about the location and length.

• The marathon distance is officially 42.195 kilometres (26.219 mi) long as sanctioned by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) now known as World Athletics. - is this debatable?   • World Athletics is responsible for maintaining the standards of running and not the specific races. Also, I can't give any details on the exact length of the course as it could be longer than the marathon distance.

  • I couldn't find anymore details on other people involved. Milde is worth mentioning because he is the son of the founder of the race and is closely associated with it.

  • I think it's best to go off what World Athletics lists them as. For example, Helen Bekele Tola is listed as Helen Bekele on World Athletics. She's also 'Helen Tola' in the results.

• In the men's, Hug had pulled away from the other competitors by 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) and "cruised" through the rest of the race to win by over three and a half minutes in 1:28:09.[15][16] Weir finished second in 1:31:45, with Lakatos third, one second behind.[16]

  • I couldn't find any, although this implies that it was 46,983. This lists it as 44,065, but I was unsure about just mentioning a statistic. Let me know what you think.

  • This system is used on every other marathon article that I can see and I feel like it's good for looking at trends of finishers from a glance. It's also used elsewhere like at FIFA World Cup.
