Results tables
editHi all,
Below is what I am proposing be included in this article for each type of municipality.
Cities:
- A mayoral results table like this:
Candidate Number of votes Percent of votes John Smith 800 80% Jane Doe 200 20% 1000
- A council results table like this:
Re-elected incumbents Defeated incumbents Retiring incumbents Newly elected Bob Loblaw Aaron Aardvark Robert Robertson Buster Bluth Homer Simpson Zevon Zymurg Gob Bluth Michael Bluth
- For Edmonton and Calgary, also links to Calgary municipal election, 2017 and Edmonton municipal election, 2017
Towns over 10,000 population:
plus Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and Strathcona County
- Mayoral results table as above; no council results
Towns under 10,000 population:
plus Municipality of Crowsnest Pass and Municipality of Jasper
- An overall mayoral results table like this:
Town Incumbent Mayor Elected Mayor Eastville Barack Obama Barack Obama Northton Bill Clinton Mitt Romney Southview Hillary Clinton Hillary Clinton
Improvement districts / municipal districts / special areas / summer villages / villages:
- Nothing listed (not notable enough)
Inclusion population cutoff
editEarl Andrew, disregarding my above comment, what population cutoff are you using for inclusion of towns and MDs? 10,000 seems appropriate. Madg2011 (talk) 20:22, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- I use 5000 as a cutoff for other provincial municipal election articles (except Ontario, for which I include all municipalities). Don't see why Alberta should be any different. -- Earl Andrew - talk 04:35, 24 September 2017 (UTC)
Unofficial results by municipality
editHere is a complete list of all unofficial results by municipality. Perhaps an official results list will be published by Alberta Municipal Affairs next week. Hwy43 (talk) 05:27, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
