Transparent Premiere Date and Network edit

It is stated that Transparent premiered on the Nine Network on 27 January 2015, which is supported by references 131 and 135. However, according to this article on Mumbrella the series was available on Stan at launch (26 January 2015). As both reference 131 and 135 were published prior to the launch of Stan, yet the Mumbrella article was published afterwards (28 January 2015), can it be assumed the series in fact had its premiere on Stan? I couldn't find the section in the Mumbrella article saying it premiered on Stan earlier than the Nine broadcast Whats new? (talk) 04:40, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
In the very first paragraph it says ...Transparent has been the most viewed show on new streaming joint venture Stan since the platform’s official launch on Australia Day... As Australia Day is the 26th that is a day ahead of it's Nine screening. Forbesy 777 (talk) 08:28, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
But that paragraph doesn't indicate it was available from January 26, the article just states that the program is most watched since Stan launched on Jan 26. If Program XYZ launched on May 1 and was streamed more times than Transparent, than Program XYZ would be 'the most viewed show since Stan launched' even though it wasn't available at launch. I do note that the Mumbrella article was on January 28, and it conflicts with the information on the TV Tonight reference indicating Nine would have the Australian premiere. Personally, I would still take the TV Tonight article's line "The acclaimed series starring Jeffrey Tambor will have a double episode “sneak peek” on Nine ahead of its formal launch on streaming service, Stan" over Mumbrella's which doesn't specifically state the launch date/time on Stan?? Fair point. Exhibit B, this article by TBI Vision was published on Australia Day (the day Stan launched) and states At launch its programming line-up included several series from Amazon, including Transparent... I can try and find a more reliable source (I have never heard of TBI Vision before so I'm not sure of its reliability) but given this is the second article I have found to be posted after the fact to suggest Stan in fact premiered Transparent, not Nine, I assume it wouldn't be extremely difficult to find another source (although not necessarily anymore reliable). That's a good point also. There are sort of conflicting sources which makes this a difficult issue. It could be true that either Stan had it first from its launch, or they had the licence but it was only made available to customers after the Nine broadcast happened. I'm happy to go with either broadcaster in the article, until/unless there's a more definitive answer. Whats new? (talk) 02:38, 29 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
