Italy ice dance - number of entries

Why have you written that Italy has two entries in ice dance if Anna Cappellini and Luca Lanotte theoretically should assure three entries for their country?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.205.2.206 (talk) 21:34, 16 November 2014‎ (UTC)

No, Italy had two ice dance teams at 2014 Worlds. They placed 1st and 14th, a combined placement of 15th, resulting in two spots for 2015 Worlds. If Italy had only one team that got 1st, then they would have received three spots. Figure skating at the 2014 Winter Olympics – Qualification has table to show how spots are calculated for Olympics - worlds is similar. Kirin13 (talk) 22:46, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
