Skylanders 4 identity revealed
editThanks to this video I've recently watched, I've figured out what the 4th Skylanders game is going to be called. Skylanders: Trap Team. It will be released for the Wii, WiiU, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, and it will be released on October 5, 2014. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikimaster 3 (talk • contribs) 23:27, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
could Half-Life 3 please be added
December Section
editCaptain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Gone Home are listed as a December releases from what I can see from the list and their respective page, I am not certain about the release date, but what I know is Nintendo announced them as a Winter and a Q4 release respectively. Should we put it back to unscheduled releases section.
Should DLC be included in this list?
editRecently someone has added The Last of Us: Left Behind and Batman: Arkham Origins - Cold, Cold, Heart into the list. They are not standalone DLC (like Infamous: First Light), therefore I remove it. But at the same time, I think that it is reasonable to put these standard DLC into the list. What do you guys think? AdrianGamer (Talk), 11:28, 6 September 2014
Well, I think that DCL's should be included in this list, and beside, how will the others know when they are coming out, ya know.Norozco1 (talk) 15:08, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
I have to add them back then. But I think some sort of limitation is needed. Single-player DLC like Left Behind and Cold,Cold,Heart and multiplayer DLC which provide more maps and game modes, like those for CoD, Battlefield, Titanfall is acceptable, but I don't think those DLC that only add extra items, like GTA V: Flight School, or update for free-to-play game, like Star Wars: The Old Republic: Galactic Strongholds should be included. What do you think? AdrianGamer (Talk), 11:28, 6 September 2014
I do think that it sounds fair, and good enough for everyone, especially if we need to set some sort of limitation with the list, am i right? :-) Norozco1 (talk) 16:43, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
I would tend to agree that only stand-alone DLCs (or those DLCs with their own articles) should be added to the article. Otherwise it's just a bunch of redirects to the main game's article like in the case of Dark Souls II. Furthermore, we are talking of quality over quantity here... we are really not ones to judge which DLC is deemed relevant in case it isn't stand-alone (or with its own article, as mentioned above). And not to forget that previous years in video gaming articles do not include DLCs (again except those with their own articles, like Skyrim's DLCs for example). --CoolingGibbon (talk) 03:43, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
Well, I'm glad that you agree to this decision of ours! :) Norozco1 (talk) 11:23, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
Alright, then I'll start cleaning up the article by removing the redirects. --CoolingGibbon (talk) 12:42, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
Really, but what kind of redirects are you going to take out to make some limitations? :-/ Norozco1 (talk) 12:47, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, i'm staring to think that you didn't agree with what we'd talked about at all! :-( Norozco1 (talk) 02:35, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- What about Complete Edition, Do you think we should also put them into the list? AdrianGamer (Talk)
- Yes, I do think that we should also put the Complete Edition into the list, I mean, who else wouldn't want them on the list, would you? :-) Norozco1 (talk) 11:37, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- We have one more problem. DLCs with its own page. Grand Theft Auto Online (which is not really a DLC) is listed alongside with Grand Theft Auto V. The problem is that you required GTA V itself before playing Online. It isn't standalone. However, GTA Online have its own page. Do you think we should keep it there or remove it? AdrianGamer (talk) 16:38, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
- Well, I think we should keep it there because because like you said that it isn't a standalone, so for everyone that agrees with this, i think that this counts a part of this article, ya know? :-) Norozco1 (talk) 18:00, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
Dreamcast?
editDo you guy think that we should add Dreamcast to the list of game consoles?Norozco1 (talk) 15:12, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
could the rumor of the super smash bros. for WiiU is actually true?
edithey, i just need to know something, and its nothing irrelevant, it just that i want to get this important question off my chest because i've been wandering about it for some time now and it has gone unanswered ever since the previous update, and so it has come to my full attention to get help by creating this new section that i've just provided for all of you, and in hopes that this section will soon give us some informations about the rumor, then we'll soon find the answers that we've searching for. So from your opinions, answers, and anything that comes to mind about this question that i'm about to ask all of you, then please don't hesitate to speak out, because my question to all of you is this: do you guys think that the rumor about the super smash bros. for Wii U release date is actually true? :-/ Here's a link to the website that might help with this section, and with everyone: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/09/nintendo_advert_confirms_november_21st_launch_date_for_super_smash_bros_wii_u Hope that you guys response to this. :-) Norozco1 (talk) 02:32, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- The rumor is probably true. That would be a perfect time for Super Smash Bros for WiiU to be released on 21 November because there is no other game collide directly with it besides that Pokémon game. AdrianGamer (talk}
- Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, and I've got to say that I have to agree with you on this one because I can tell that this rumor has to be true, ya know. :) Norozco1 (talk) 11:24, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
New staff in this articles
editI think that we can add more video games related things in this articles. In other articles like 2005 in video gaming, Top selling game of the year is included. In 2007 in video gaming, Publisher's acquisition is mentioned in the events section. I really do found that in articles like 2013 in video gaming and of course, this page, really lack of them. They have nothing besides those gaming trade shows and game releases. Therefore, I suggest, we should add them in. AdrianGamer (talk), 10:50, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- No one want to respond? :( AdrianGamer (talk)
- Hey, Is it OK if I help you with this? :) Norozco1 (talk) 14:22, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- It's OK. :) AdrianGamer {talk)
- Then i'll try to help in anyway that i can to find more video games for these articles, OK! :-) Norozco1 (talk) 19:40, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Great! Thanks for your help. :) I will start editing the Events sections then. What other events you can think of, besides publisher acquisition and game trade shows? AdrianGamer (talk)
- well, to be honest I really don't know yet, but I'll let you know when I do know something. But in the mean time, I think that the 2005 and 2007 in video gaming articles should just like the how 2013 and 2014 in video gaming articles are set up, ya know. :) Norozco1 (talk) 12:02, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- Set up? You mean to add a table for Events and split the long list of games into 4 different sections (Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4)? AdrianGamer {talk)
- yes, that's exactly what i mean if you have the time that is. So i hope this helps at least, or am i wrong?:-/ Norozco1 (talk) 13:46, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- I will have time tomorrow so I will try to make a list for the events and split the list for the game releases. AdrianGamer {talk)
- Okay, so i'll just wait untill tomorrow, hope that you'll be done by than. :-) Norozco1 (talk) 17:58, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- I have already add a list for the events, but I am afraid that I can't change the set up of the list because it will take forever and will be incredibly hard. I change the set up of the list for 2008 and 2009 though. Btw can you help me to proofread the new events I put in the events list in this page. My grammar is not good. AdrianGamer {talk)
- Well I looked at your updated articles and from the looks of it, I think it's going pretty well. I mean, besides the grammar and all, it looks ok to me, just keep up the good work OK! :) Norozco1 (talk) 11:25, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
- btw did you know when Paper Monster Recut and Teslagrad is released. It is listed as a TBA September releases but after few hours it would be October. Do you know there release date? :) AdrianGamer {talk)
- well, to be honest i'd truly thought those games would be release by now, but i guess the games are getting delayed, so i think its possible that those games are going to be released in october, so i'm going to update the page and see what happens, but for now, let just wait a little longer, OK! :-) Norozco1 (talk) 18:02, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
- btw again, Do you think that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes PC release date is 19/12? I have heard that the director of the game itself has reportedly announced the release date on a Russian game trade show. I am not sure whether I should remove it again or not. It sounds true but I don't know since the publisher still hasn't announced the release date. AdrianGamer {talk)
- Well, to be honest i really don't know, but i think that it's a possibility for this to be the right release date, but just to be sure that we're not to going to make any mistakes or misunderstandings about this, we'll just have to wait for the accurate release date to be announced and see if we're right or not, Ok! :-) Norozco1 (talk) 12:36, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
- Then should we keep it in the December section or put it back to the Unscheduled releases section? AdrianGamer (talk)
- We should probability put it back to the Unscheduled releases section, just to be on the safe side, Ok. :-) Norozco1 (talk) 13:17, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
- Well, the publisher had just confirmed it. Problem solved. :) AdrianGamer (talk)
- Okay then, I'm glad that we've gotten that straighten out. :-) Norozco1 (talk) 17:44, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
Android shouldn't be listed as "Droid"
edit"Droid" is a specific line of phones that run Android. It's like if you called all cars a "Ford", yes Ford makes a lot of cars and you might be able to call your car a Ford, but not every car is a Ford; your Droid runs Android (unless you've done something horrible to it), but not every Android-running-phone is a Droid; not every MP3 player is an iPod; not every tissue is a Kleenex, etc. This is especially bad because Droid is a name that is a trademark of Lucasfilm, Verizon pays them to use the name... as stupid as that is.
Unfortunately I can't figure out how to change this without breaking the the platform list.
155.188.123.16 (talk) 20:12, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
Well, i'm sure that you'll figure it out sooner or later. :-) Norozco1 (talk) 21:34, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
- The Platform list is part of the Template:GamePlatformKey. You may need to edit the template first before making changes in this page. AdrianGamer (talk) 13:38, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
- Well that answer came out of nowhere! :-/ Norozco1 (talk) 14:06, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
