This is a very, very important state election, especially for Rick Santorum. Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 01:29, 6 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Latest developments in Ohio, Republican race

edit

I just added the following info to the national Republican race WP article, and will reword for here, unless someone from Ohio does something first on latest development. Feel free.

As momentum in the Republican race builds for Romney, Santorum suspended his campaign for four days to meet with ‘movement conservatives’ to strategize.[1][2] Former Family Research Council chief Gary Bauer, who was present at the sit-down with Santorum, called it a ‘strategy meeting to discuss how Senator Santorum prevails.’[3] But rather than returning to campaigning the next Monday, Rick and Karen Santorum canceled campaign events scheduled right after Easter weekend to be in the hospital with their youngest daughter.[4]

PS: I lived in Ohio, twice, for brief months on my mission, (Canton and Cincinnati). Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 20:16, 8 April 2012 (UTC) I put this in the articleEricl (talk) 20:10, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

About Santorum

Okay, we all know that Rick has suspended his campaign. However, Paul Simon and Howard Dean both won primaries after suspending their campaigns and Paul Tsongas came in second in a bunch in 1992. Rick can in fact come in second in PA.Ericl (talk) 13:48, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Formatting needs to be improved

edit

More and more photos and charts/infoboxes have been added to this article over the last several years, giving it an increasingly cluttered look that makes it difficult to read, particularly for people with visual and/or cognitive impairments. The overly large infobox in the upper right of this article, in particular, encroaches on the text to its left, making the text appear "sandwiched," which appears to violate Wikipedia's Manual of Style/Accessibility standards. At this point, several images/charts/infoboxes need to be removed, repositioned, and/or resized to bring the article back into compliance with the MOS and make it more accessible for Wikipedia users with visual/cognitive impairments. - 47thPennVols (talk) 00:33, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
