This earthquake is one of the aftershocks of the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake, but we propose to redirect to the List of foreshocks and aftershocks of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake page. Only one person were injured, and only one person was killed. I think it is not uncommon for an earthquake of this magnitude to occur in Japan. --Miamiaim (talk) 14:11, 12 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

I don't see any issue here, a small number of deaths may not be extremely notable for an event, but there are many articles like this that exists without being proposed for redirect. Earthquake-related fatalities in Japan are not very common these days either from my perspective. This article was started nearly ten years ago without much issues and you're the first person to suggest this. I say this article may stay. CactusTaron (Nopen't) 00:03, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
