clinching

I wish to be as diplomatic as possible. There is no combinations of events that stops Finland and Canada from advancing. Norway is not eliminated. Germany is. Norway can still finish in a three way tie for third with Russia and Czech, and potentially finish ahead in the tie breakers. The only way for Germany to catch both Slovakia and Switzerland would be for them to end up in a three way tie for third with four points--and they have lost to both of those teams so they would still be in the relegation round no matter what else happened. I put thought into the clinching scenarios, they were accurate, they were deleted well before coming to pass, ridiculous amount of re-editing going on now18abruce (talk) 03:58, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Are you sure Head-to-Head is the first tiebreaker? I heard a colour comentator specifically mention that goal differential is very important in this tournament. Kingjeff (talk) 22:57, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is an IIHF tournament so it is. See here: [1]. --Hautala (talk) 02:15, 31 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
