  • My understanding is if the Big Ten or Pac-10(12) Champion plays in the BCSNCG any year in the 2011-2014 Rose Bowl range, the FIRST time it happens they will be required to take the non-AQ qualifier. Should it happen this year, the Rose would select a non-AQ and in the next 3 Rose Bowl Games, the Rose Bowl will be free to take whoever they want. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4359924 This is MY understanding. • I am talking about this sentence in the article: "Should the non-AQ qualify for the BCS Championship, and face either the Big Ten or Pac-10 Champion, the Rose Bowl may replace that champion with a team from same conference, so long as it is in the Top 14 of the final BCS Standings." Very confusing. If the Rose Bowl doesn't have to pick a Non-AQ team, it would pick the second place team from the Big Ten or Pac-10 if it lost one of its teams to the BCS. Non BCS school

• This is the exact quote from press release: "TCU is the first non‐BCS school to win the RBG in the post‐World War II era, as you have to go back to the 1934 game when Columbia beat Stanford, 7‐0". Not sure what they are saying except they fulfill their requirement of having a non-AQ team in the Rose Bowl. Ucla90024 (talk) 22:17, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
