editThis article is terribly misinformed and misleading and should be deleted. The first work stoppage in American soccer history was the NASL player strike in April 1979. And in 2010 there was no work stoppage at all. There was no lockout. There was no strike. And there is no such thing as a "lockout/strike". There was only the threat of a strike, which was avoided when the league and the players managed to conclude a new collective bargaining agreement in March 2010 (see, e.g., http://seattletimes.com/html/sounders/2011399831_sounders21.html). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.2.116.237 (talk) 16:35, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
