Fair use rationale for Image:Guangzhou 2010.png

Image:Guangzhou 2010.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:39, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Kuwait

Kuwait participate under the Olympic flag. However, the medal they won can be included in medal tally? --Aleenf1 12:25, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

"Palestine" is not a country

The Palestinian National Authority sent participants to the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. Unlike other country participants, the Palestinian delegates do not represent any sovereign country. Please reflect these facts in the article. -- 62.0.34.136 (talk) 13:26, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

There is no mention of "countries" in the article, and countries don't compete anyway, NOC teams compete. I checked the revision at the time you posted this message, and the version current when I replied. 76.66.203.138 (talk) 15:13, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Move the medal table

Hi all, I want to suggest that we should move the medal table in a separate page and include only top 10 NOCs in the main article. Please have a look at 2010 Commonwealth games page to understand what I mean. This, in my view, would reduce the length of the page. Please comment on this suggestion. Interwikis

It's been protected so if someone could add this interwiki please: nl:Aziatische Spelen 2010. Thanks! - 83.128.68.250 (talk) 10:56, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

TYC protest?

Why is it worth mentioning? Isn't it true that TYC uses every international event held in China as a channel to spat their intention? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.4.217.33 (talk) 19:22, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Different matter can be different at all. This time is language. Why not? --Aleenf1 23:13, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
I'm not sure what the above comment means, but this TYC "protest" is definitely not notable, being one event of a just few people, and having no impact (unlike the 2008 Olympics where the meme caused real disruption), and is only being reported on by Dharamsala/Falun Gong outlets. I have removed it. Quigley (talk) 23:41, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
It happened, it was very public. It is only one line in the article. Is not like there is a full section dedicated to this event. If the only time a protest is considered "notable" is if it causes real disruption. You are sending out a bad message. The sources suggest it was related to the games. (I am replacing the broken source). Benjwong (talk) 23:33, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Taekwondo Controversy

Why is this article semi-protected. I wanted to add this link, but it won't let me.

Controversy should be added after the event ends.--KSentry(talk) 05:33, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Medal Table

Where is the medal table? I think that I checked it today but now I don't see it in the article. I searched in the history but I couldn't find it. Please someone restore it. Thanks.Farhikht (talk) 16:27, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

Consistency

For consistency, Wikipedia will prefer a one stylist across an article. Plus, it is meaningless to add a link for same subject so many times, per WP:LINK. That is not related to whatever script you use --Aleenf1 14:29, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
