Question regarding WikiProjects

I'm just wondering whether this falls into WP:FOOTY as this series contains football teams competing in it. Thoughts? D.M.N. (talk) 07:58, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

In spite of the fact this is being advertised as "Formula Football", I believe this falls under "other sports activities" that the clubs may also have. FC Porto has handball, basketball and rink hockey teams. That doesn't mean articles about these specific activities need to part of WP:FOOTY, and neither does this one. --Pc13 (talk) 16:52, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Avon tyres?

Why are some teams indicated as having Avon tyres? All teams present in the Vallelunga test had Michelins, and the official livery drawings present in the SF media website have Michelin logos as well. --Pc13 (talk) 16:52, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Those seem like good enough grounds to change all the tyres to Michelin.--Diniz(talk) 17:21, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

One image had outdated drawings. The AC Milan and Olympiakos have season sponsors that were not present in the test car last week at Vallelunga, and FC Porto had the January unveiling design, which is different from the livery shown in July. See Anderlecht car, Borussia Dortmund car, Flamengo car, Galatasaray car, AC Milan car (sponsorless), FC Basel car, all with clearly visible Michelin logos on the tyres (press the pics for hi-res versions). The series' official test car has Michelin tyres too, and Michelin is included in the suppliers advertising space. --Pc13 (talk) 22:35, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Team Standings?

Do we need a special results section for the teams (Zakspeed, Azerti, West-Tec etc)? A1GP does not have this because the season is orientated around the countries and drivers. Likewise, Superleague Formula is orientated around the football clubs and I don't think there is a trophy at the end of the season for a Constructor's Championship, unlike in Formula 1 and GP2. The focus is on the football clubs as you said, so I don't think a results table for the teams is necessary.--Diniz(talk) 13:59, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Max Wissel

Is really Wissel swiss? In some very places, like Superleague official site, I saw that he is german. (Edmurbobby (talk) 22:40, 1 September 2008 (UTC))

No numbers 1, 2, 13, 20, 23

Article claims that is because of tradition. What tradition? I've never seen 20 or 23 being skipped... /Coffeeshivers (talk) 20:52, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Thats right - what the article says is "no numbers 1, 2, 20 or 23, or 13 as per historical tradition". As you can see there is a comma after "23" before " or 13" meaning the "as per historical tradition" only refers to the "13". That is because everyone in motorsport is stupidly superstitious.Officially Mr X (talk) 16:03, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Maybe, but there is a reason why these numbers are significant. In Formula 1 for example, each racing team is given two cars with numbers next to each other. EuroInternational only announced Atlético Madrid would race for them last week so previously they only had one team, Corinthians, and no number 15 car. If Hitech Racing or Fisichella Motor Sport announced they would support another club then the club's would be given cars 20 and 23 respectfully. Cars 1 and 2 are not in use because car number 1 is only given to the champion from the year before, and as this is the inaugural season there is no previous champion. Although it wouldn't make any difference on track, giving a driver the number 1 car would be unfair, and the number 2 car always goes to the support driver in that team.Officially Mr X (talk) 17:53, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Officially Mr. X does not own this page

I'm getting increasingly tired with User: Officially Mr X's constant reverts to sourced changes. I added sources to support my assertion that Azerti is a Belgian team. I added sources to support that West-Tec did not run FC Porto's car in any race. I added sources to support FC Porto switched to Hitech Racing in Vallelunga. Mr. X keeps reverting them. And then he adds an infobox calling this an FIA series. Superleague Formula is neither owned or run by the FIA. It's only in the list of FIA approved series, a license allowing the championship to run on several countries, which puts it on equal standing with Super GT, the DTM and the World Series by Renault. --Pc13 (talk) 07:22, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Having checked the Azerti website, it comes to my attention that it does have a Belgian-domained website, yet are based in Holland. ADR are definitely not British - it's an Australian team. Just to clarify things. Cs-wolves (talk) 12:55, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Are you sure? What about this? Sponsor from Mechelen, warehouse in Bornem - same as Racing for Belgium. In any case, the clincher is this interview on the Superleague website, with team owner Wim Coekelberghs. ADR are based on Towcester, which in itself means nothing. But this entry list for the 2006 British F3 gives their license as British. Performance Racing were based in the UK as well, but were registered in Sweden and had a Swedish license. --Pc13 (talk) 13:44, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm read it somewhere (can't remember where) about Azerti being based in Holland - doubt it's true though. There's different sites saying British and Australian for ADR, so just put Alan Docking Racing just like Piquet Sports in 2008-09 GP2 Asia Series season. Don't have a problem with it. Meanwhile, Mr X has done it again. Apparently, he found a contradictory source for Azerti's identity, but instead of discussing it here, he just replaced one source with another.
