Link Clean Up
editI tried to make some significant changes to the links, as before things like Breath and Run were just going to the nouns (Breath or Run), which didn't seem to help anyone. Some of the alterations:
1.) I checked past Cannes pages to see how they were formatted and stuck to the president.
2.) I added links to the directors. I know this shows a lot of red and blue, but for the most part the directors are the only ones who even have an article to link to.
3.) I moved the country of the film to the end of the line. I didn't add links because that seemed redundant. I also didn't add links to nationalities for the jury members, though I did link to their names.
4.) Wasn't sure if the br tags were needed with a bullet list, but I left them in.
General question: Some of the films are attributed as either United Kingdom (too broad) or Hong Kong (too specific). I don't want to change the UK ones to England/Wales/Scotland/etc because I don't know for sure what is what, but couldn't we at least alter Hong Kong to China?
More nitpicky: Jane Birkin links to a singer. I don't think this is the same person, but I'm not sure. And Looking Glass (film) just goes to the disambiguation tag.
Feel free to revert back to the old changes if this is version is too... colorful. --Alaaious 15:41, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
- In regards to Hong Kong, it should be left alone. Many filmmakers still regard themselves as part of the Hong Kong film community (what's left of it) as opposed to being Chinese. Hong Kong has been part of China politically for only 10 years now and will not be "officially" governed by Beijing until 2047. RoyBatty42 19:12, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
