CIA interference in the election edit

Foreign Affairs just published a piece claiming that the election was subject to massive interference by the United States. [1] Should this information be included in the article? Chess (talk) (please use {{ping|Chess}} on reply) 06:11, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Results inconsistency edit

@Vacant0 and Elserbio00: Do you know why the results in this article do not add up?

In the Chamber of Citizens table, the sum for Serbia is actually 4,749,030 not 4,759,030 (which is from the Nohlen book). However, most sources I can find give the latter figure, even when providing the same party figures that add up to 4,749,030.

Similarly, neither of the set of presidential results add up; the total of the initial results is 5,047,289, but the total given as 5,053,428. For the second set of results, the figures add up to 4,915,090, but the total given is 4,916,920.

Regarding the latter, I wondered whether non-voting voters might be included in the Total figure (i.e. voters who arrive at the polling station, take a ballot paper, but then do not put it in the ballot box), as some election commissions report this figure.

For the Chamber one, it looks like it might just be a typo somewhere given the difference is exactly 10,000, but I cannot find any source that has a 'corrected' number. Cheers, Number 57 22:07, 26 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Interesting, in the Official Journal of FRY (Službeni list) same numbers were reported as seen here (60 page) for the presidential election, even though as you have said the numbers add up to 5,047,289. In the report it is stated "Judging by the Decision, the Federal Election Commission determined that 5,053,428 voters voted for the President of the Republic, of which 4,956,729 at the polling station and 93,631 outside the polling station. When you add up the number of those who voted at the polling station and those who voted outside the polling station, it turns out that 5,053,090 voters voted, so it remains unclear where the remaining voters could vote, 338 of them." The same goes for the official results (which can be found on page 65) of the presidential election, Chamber of Citizens (page 69, total adds up to 4,864,364) and the Chamber of Republics (page 81, adds up to 4,753,347). For the last two, under the "Number of ballots used" (8th option) it can be seen that the numbers are those that I've stated, while under presidential it's stated 4,915,090. This is weird, I'll research more about it tomorrow and I will lyk. --Vacant0 (talk) 00:55, 27 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
I see the official presidential results linked does have the correct total (4,915,090) listed in row 6. Perhaps someone just took the wrong figure for the total to use here.
The number of invalid votes in the Chamber of Citizens given by the Nohlen source doesn't match the official results, nor does the 'other parties' total for Serbia in the Chamber of Republics (or the SPP figure in Montenegro), so maybe the error is in the source for them. That's probably the case but I will first read more about this and then I'll correct the results. --Vacant0 (talk) 01:26, 27 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! I've done the parliamentary ones, as the figures in the source make sense. Number 57 21:48, 27 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much for fixing it, I was unfortunately busy but this source seems to give the actual results! --Vacant0 (talk) 23:02, 28 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
