Can't see how Grimsby finished ahead of Oldham and Reading when all three finished on the same number of points but had far inferior goal difference... The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 14:37, 6 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
the "England 1995–96" reference looks to have the teams sorted by goals scored, with goal difference only used after this. This would also be the reason for Leicester/Charlton and WBA/Port Vale. If this is the case then it would be useful for it to be stated in the article as having a column for goal difference, rather than total goals scored is confusing.
