How did the moderates win with fewer votes and seats? AJUK Talk!! 13:31, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter which party gets more votes. It matters what political party coalition gets a majority of seats in parliament. The left wing bloc (Social Democrats and Left Party) got only 154 seats out of 349. That's less than half. The right-wing bloc (centre, christian democrats, moderates, liberal democrats) on the other hand got 170. Still less than half, but the votes of the new New Democracy party boasted them up to 195. more than half. so the right wing bloc wins. this works the same way in almost all parliamentary democracies. —Vikingviolinist (talk) 13:51, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
