Red Cards edit

Under "Discipline" it states that "two United players were sent off" and names Fred van der Hoorn and Alan Main. However the issue is complicated by the fact that after the fulltime whistle at the 1991 Scottish Cup final 4 United players - Van der Hoorn, Darren Jackson, Jim McInally and John Clark - were awarded red cards following a confrontation with the referee over decisions in the match, most notably arguing that Main had been fouled in the build up to Motherwell's winning goal and it should not have stood. These were classed as official red cards and resulted in the players serving bans at the start of the following season. Thus, arguably it should be 5 players were awarded a total of six red cards. Given the unusual nature of these dismissals, I wonder what other editors think about adding them in? Dunarc (talk) 22:02, 3 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
