Wouldn't this be more accurately placed at Social and Liberal Democrats leadership election, 1988 since that was the party's title at the time? "Liberal Democrats" wasn't adopted until 1989. Timrollpickering 12:21, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

I recall "the Democrats" was used in some of the few years old A-Level politics textbooks floating around when my sister starter her A-Level (1993), albeit only briefly indicating a flawed attempt to be up to date when going to press... However wasn't the "SaLaD" form the official version still used?

There's not been any further comment on this so if no-one has any objections I propose to move it to Social and Liberal Democrats leadership election, 1988 in three days' time. Timrollpickering 22:35, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
