edit- August 21 - The visiting Boston Red Sox batted a season-high 24 hits to rout the Cleveland Indians, 24–5, pounding starter Greg Swindell in his major league debut and four relievers. Tony Armas hit a grand slam and a two-run home run to collect six RBI; Spike Owen a solo homer, three singles, six runs; Bill Buckner five hits, two runs, 3 RBI, and Marty Barrett and Dwight Evans three hits and four RBI a piece. I removed the above entry because I think it lacks the notability for this page. From my perspective, pages like this are reserved for:
1. League records being set (individual or team, game, season, or career) 2. Unusual events (like Disco Demolition or Dime Beer Night) 3. Milestones that are particular to notable careers (Mark McGuire's 100th home run might be notable; Dick Allen's 100th home run would not) 4. Pennant clinching games, especially in regards to ending long streaks 5. Awards that involve streaks of winning, and/or unique circumstances 6. Debuts/final games
I'm not sure this game qualifies (good game that it was) qualifies. Thoughts? TeganX7 21:27, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
