Mergefrom edit

I launched the merge for the useless I-70 Series article. There's some hint at the top of that article that it may be about more than the 1985 World Series but, in reality, there's almost nothing. If someone wants to rename it to I-70 rivalry and include stuff outside of the '85 WS, feel free... but, the way it is now, it's just duplicated content and duplicated maintenance. --Wknight94 (talk) 15:45, 8 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:World Series Logo 1985.png edit

Image:World Series Logo 1985.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Aftermath incorrect edit

"In 1989, St. Louis Cardinals went on to win the NLCS in seven games over the San Francisco Giants. In the World Series against the Minnesota Twins, after having fallen behind 2-0 at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, they won their next three games at home. However, back at the Metrodome, they lost the last two and again fell one game short of a World Series title. It would be the Cardinals' last World Series appearance until 2004."

It was 1987 Twins over Cardinals. 1989 was A's over Giants 2600:1008:B043:9C01:C878:ACFF:FE03:80B7 (talk) 13:58, 22 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
