The comment about the drivers being confused and waved back is incorrect I think edit
Watching the race back on F1TV - Murray walker states on commentary that the drivers are waving to notify drivers behind, referencing that they do this when they change lines. There's no way to know if they were confused but given how quickly he said this I think this was normal at the time (others can agree/disagree if they know better from that era of F1) Nickroope (talk) 21:13, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
