[1] The article currently claims that the merger proposal initially failed with 12/17 votes because that was one short of a 2/3 majority. 12/17 is more than 2/3, so something isn't right here. The main article says three quarters were required for a merger. Gimmetrow 00:35, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
American edit
The use of American for US is not common world wide. In many parts of the world American includes Canadians, Mexicans and Argentinians etc. In most of the world America is a continent and American for US is sloppy lnguage. Much better to use US insted of American, not confusing. --Zzalpha (talk) 21:08, 14 December 2015 (UTC)
