"Blind Irish Referees" (England v Wales)
editThere needs to be more content (obviously appropriately sourced and attested) on the England v Wales match, and the infamous refereeing decision. It remains a culturally significant event in Wales where the term "Blind Irish Referee" is widely understood. Indeed the 2011 Tip Tackle in the World Cup Semi Final, or more significantly the Welsh public reaction to it, need to be understood in the context of that 1974 Match and the cultural fallout.
