Names of candidates edit

There has been a lot of discussion about how candidates are named in election tables. I tend to favour the policy of using the 'common name' as used in a wikipedia article, if relevant, e.g. Bob Morgan or Jack Brooks. However, I don't have strong feelings on this. Other positions, key edit

I'm not so sure of the benefits (or the feasibility) of listing sitting councillors of other local authorities, as suggested by the addition of the "KEY" (presumably copied from 1973 Cardiff City Council election). South Glamorgan not only covered Cardiff, but also council areas such as Cardiff Rural, Penarth Urban, Barry Urban, Cowbridge and, of course, part of Glamorgan County Council's territory. A lot of research to do!! Sionk (talk) 12:51, 9 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I agree. A little ambitious at this stage. It is interesting that several did sit on bothers authorities at the start - something to come back to perhaps. I think worth showing on what authorities people previously sat prior to reorganisation. I intend to get the 85,89 and 93 South Glam elections done next, so that we avoid duplicating work. Great. Yep, me too, I'm wondering how some of these councillors managed to find the time to work on both councils at the same time :) Sionk (talk) 18:10, 9 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

For now moved the KEY to the end of the results section, for consistency. We can discuss further when results are complete! Macs15 (talk) 21:14, 9 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
