Changing starting order in the 2nd legs of the Slalom and (Men's) Giant Slalom

On December 9th, 1971, it did happen in the first (Men's) Giant Slalom of the season at Val d'Isère: A new scheme was established - it was worked out by Swedish Alpine Skiing Official Bibbo Nordenskjold, and French Officals wanted to establish it (it is called "Bibbo-Regulation"): The start order of a second leg in slalom and (Men's) Giant Slalom races now was: The 15th ranked racer of the first leg did begin, followed by the 14th, until the first - and then it was continued with the 16th racer until the last timed one. - Winner of that race was Erik Håker (it was his first victory in a World Cup race) and he could take advantage of that new regulation because he had bib number 20. If the race would have been started in the former scheme (bib number 15 was the first starter in the 2nd leg, bib no 1 the 15th starter, followed by bib number 30 - he would have started as the 25th). I would like to point out that it could be that he would have started a little earlier, because (of course) such racers of the first race who didn't finish that first race (or being disqualified) weren't allowed to "re-start" - and I don't know how many racers didn't finish that first race. Women's Giant Slalom March 18th

In Pra-Loup, there were carried out two Giant Slaloms in the morning of Saturday, March 18th! I would like to suggest to read Austrian Newspaper "Arbeiterzeitung Vienna" from March 19th, 1972, page 14. --Skiscout (talk) 17:04, 10 February 2017 (UTC).
