Bonnies vs. Brown Indians

My searches on Newspapers.com during the 1949 football season (i.e., October-November 1949) indicate that "Bonnies" was the team's common nickname. "Brown Indians" was also sometimes used, but "Bonnies" was more common by a factor of approximately four-to-one. Compare this (62 hits) and this (17 hits). Cbl62 (talk) 05:35, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
