Gone With the Wind edit

There should an asterisk and major clarification for GWTW. For one, it only premiered in 1939. But even then, it wasn't really released in 1940 either - it was shown that year in roadshow version and hence despite some box office report from March of 1940 could not possibly have made $198M from those screenings. It's prime year was 1941 when it went into general release and sold an estimated 60 million tickets that year alone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.248.214.103 (talk) 22:05, 7 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Is this article about 1939 in Holywood, or may I add films from other parts of the world as well? Halibutt 17:37, 31 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Box office estimates edit

The box office chart obviously mixes some values taken as of March 1940 and others that include re-releases to the present. If the information is available, I think it would be interesting to see how the films did in their first releases.Arnold Rothstein1921 (talk) 14:10, 26 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
