This article reads a bit like an essay at the moment but is clearly an important topic in NZ history. Please expand with basic information such as dates, leaders etc.dramatic (talk) 05:28, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Probably because that paragraph is pasted from an essay I wrote ;-) I do plan to make the article more factual (as opposed to analytical) but that was some ready-made text I could use to start the article. Plan to do some more work on it tonight Lossenelin (talk) 02:08, 14 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Chronology of the strike

The Christchurch Press published a chronology of the "worst period of the 1913 strike" as a comparison to the 1951 waterfront dispute.[Chronology 1] The Press cites its source as Mr R. McCallum, MP for Wairau, speaking in the House of Representatives in 1914.[Chronology 2] Upon checking Hansard for the period, McCallum, himself, attribute the list to one that appeared in the Dominion of 9 December 1913.[Chronology 3]
