"Proceeds from the sale of tickets at this game were donated to the survivors of the RMS Titanic"

The Titanic did not sink till seven months after this game - did the FA really hang onto the gate money all that time before donating it............? -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 09:35, 20 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

According to the programme from the 2008 FA Community Shield, the FA donated 200 guineas to the Titanic charity set up by the Lord Mayor of London, but it doesn't specifically say that the money came from this game. Nevertheless, it does also say that £2,000 from the proceeds of the 1912 FA Charity Shield were also donated. – PeeJay 09:56, 20 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
