Published popular music edit

"School Days" w. Will D. Cobb m. Gus Edwards is listed here, although the referring article says it was published in 1907. Is the mistake in the article or in here? --92.225.247.74 (talk) 19:58, 8 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

"School Days" was copyrighted on November 16, 1906.

"If The Man In The Moon Were A Coon" w.m. Fred Fisher is also listed here, although http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coon_song mentions: "Writers of coon songs included some of the most important Tin Pan Alley composers, including Gus Edwards, Fred Fisher (who wrote the 1905 "If the Man in the Moon Were a Coon," which sold three million copies),[8] and Irving Berlin.[9]"

Here's a picture of the sheet http://ucblibraries.colorado.edu/musicimages/Rag/RagIfTheMan/RagIfTheMan01.jpg In the bottom right corner it reads: "Copyright MCMV". Maybe this helps. --92.225.247.74 (talk) 20:47, 8 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
