Celtic did not win the following six league titles. The Scottish League was won in 1903 by Hibernian and in 1904 by Third Lanark. Celtic won six league titles in succession from 1905 to 1910. The first of these was won in a play-off match against Rangers, so to attribute the Ibrox disaster of 1902 with Celtic's subsequent success is wrong. This information can be verified by checking the Wikipedia pages for seasons 1902-03, 1903-04 and 1905-05 in Scottish Football. It seems that this section of the page is slanted towards discrediting in some way Celtic's successes from 1905-10, and using this disaster to do so is in extremely bad taste. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C5:3C82:1B01:1165:4FFC:D0D3:69A (talk) 15:29, 28 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Hi there, thanks for bringing the error to my attention. I wrote the majority of this piece and it was my mistake in the reading of the source, believing it implied the next six rather than just six. However, I don't agree with the discrediting part, the source clearly makes the assertion that the results of the disaster weakened the Rangers side and certainly made Celtic's job easier to some degree. Thanks. Kosack (talk) 15:40, 28 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
