This article had a no reference tag from April 2007. The notability is not questioned but this stub very likely should have been merged in to the article Miskolc since there were no references.

However, there are issues.
Title: The flood is known as Great Flood of 1878 in Miskolc; "the worst in Hungary during the 19th century". The Great Flood of 1878 (Miskolc) would suffice and denote "Flood" as part of a proper noun. Like articles would simply follow 1878 Miskolc flood.
Floods: There was severe flooding in Hungary in 1878 and 1879 but lack of available on-line references, as well as the probable lack of local Hungarian editors, disallow good coverage. For these reasons I do not advocate a merging but certainly a name change. Otr500 (talk) 12:18, 1 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
