Talk:153rd Infantry Regiment (United States)

Suggestions

edit

I have done a quick review on this new article and have the following suggestions for improvement:

  • dates need to be consistent in format, e.g some places you have "day month year", and in others you have "month day, year";   Done
  • citations to the same source can be consolidated per WP:NAMEDREFS;   Done
  • within the citations, the long url chains can be embedded by using the {{cite web}} template, which hides the links so that they look a bit more tidy;   Done
  • I suggest not including the citations in the headings in the Hearldy items descriptions section; they would be better in the prose I think and if necessary they can just be duplicated for each paragraph in the section;  Done
  • the interwar years could be expanded upon and put into prose;
  • the lead could be expanded to discuss the regiment's war service as the lead should summarise the entire article;  Done
  • there are still a couple of statements that need citations, I have added the tags where I feel they are needed.  Done

Anyway, that is it. Good work so far and thank you for your contribution. — AustralianRupert (talk) 09:36, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I added the two requested citations. I will work on the other issues. Thanks for the input and the work on cleaning up my cites!Damon.cluck (talk) 02:29, 6 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi Damon, the article is looking quite good now in my opinion; it just needs that last citation in the Mexican Border Campaign, although I'm happy to assess as a B class article now, though, as I believe that it is overall well cited and has good coverage. If you are wanting to take it higher, i.e. to a GA or an A class, I would expand the inter war years section if at all possible. Anyway, keep up the good work. Cheers. — AustralianRupert (talk) 03:26, 6 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
