Merger Proposal edit

The stub 13th Duke of Connaught's Lancers (Watson's Horse) is proposed to be merged with this article as it contains a little information about the same unit. AshLin (talk) 04:52, 2 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Agree: the other article is just a lineage page. I think that the stub should be merged with this one. This could be done simply by cutting the lineage from the stub and creating a section in this article called Lineage and pasting it all there. Not sure if you are still interested in doing this, though, given the long length of time since posting the merge proposal and now. — AustralianRupert (talk) 01:17, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
Disagree: 13th Duke of Connaught's Lancers (Watson's Horse) was a different unit, which merged with 16th Cavalry in 1922 to form the 6th Duke of Connaught's Own Lancers (Watson's Horse). In the meantime, 31st Duke of Connaught's Own Lancers and 32nd Lancers amalgamated to form 13th Duke of Connaught's Own Lancers. Thus these are two different units with similar names. — Beloochee (talk) 26 Oct 2010.
Thanks for informing us. Could you point us towards a reference of these different mergers. AshLin (talk) 16:32, 26 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
