--Guys, the 1st Cav did not kill 56,200 enemy on Leyte; that was the overall number of Japanese killed by US forces. I made the correction. P1340 (talk) 20:48, 24 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

3d Recon Squadron, 12th Cav edit

3/12 Cav was the recon squadron of the 3d Armored Div in Germany. I joined this unit in Feb 59 and left in mid 62. 3/12 Cav was stationed in Armstrong Kaserne, Budingen, Ober Hesse. Prior to redesignation as 3/12. the unit had been the 83d Reconnaiance Battalion. (dickmerritt@mindspring.com - 19 May 12)

Large numbers of new accounts have been making this sort of change to random articles. In many cases, such as here, they are trivial, but often they distort the meaning of the sentence, so I am trying to discourage it. . . Mean as custard (talk) 09:01, 2 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
