WikiProject Military history/Assessment/Tag & Assess 2008 edit

Article reassessed and graded as start class. Referencing and appropriate inline citation guidelines not met. This article could easily be a B or even GA with references --dashiellx (talk) 17:34, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

desert storm edit

you list desert storm at the top of the page ...but in the history of diployments you do not mention the elements of 3/11 acr killertroop scout platoons that served in desert storm or the other two squadrons that deployed scouts as well. mark nattress — Preceding unsigned comment added by Killertroop31 (talkcontribs) 05:39, 31 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

The link to "Centurions" (in the meaning of a tank, armoured vehicle) in the paragraph about Vietnam is misguided. ( it leads to a TV-series !!)(Ferdinand van Dieten) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dieten (talkcontribs) 08:36, 7 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dead link edit

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!

I was in from 1956 to 1960. With the 1st. Regiment out of Straubing Ger. I appreciated the opportunity to serve with guys like Capt. Campbell, and Sgt.Sneed, The Dorman Brothers, and all the guys on our team. It was a great experence for me.

Incredibly long edit

This is an extremely long article. This is meant to be an Encyclopedia entry, not a regimental history. It also has much unsourced information.

Furthermore, this talk page is in regards to contributing and editing this article, not for discussion on the 11th. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.142.0.108 (talk) 18:34, 25 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Replaced Subdued Patch with SSI edit

I have replaced the subdued patch with the shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI), since all U.S. Army independent brigades have SSI instead of patch, see examples below (current as of 6 June 2017)

Unit Section Deletion edit

The paragraph on the 11th Tank Group should be deleted. The 11th Tank Group has nothing to do with the history of the 11th ACR, other than sharing a unit designation number. 11th Tank Group was a completely different type organization.

Afghan Deployment/221st edit

I am adding their OEF 2009 / 2010 Deployment because they wore the Blackhorse Patch and were officially Blackhorse Troopers (and most still consider themselves). Although they are no longer affiliated, they were at the time and did represent the Black Horse in Afghanistan. Mrkoww (talk) 18:42, 29 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Default image size in "Infobox military unit" edit

Signaleer, I see you are unwilling to follow the default image sizes established for Template:Infobox military unit. Yon continue to undo edits on the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment article that use the default size set by the community for the introductory image in the infobox while the other images in the infobox remain much larger (oddly disproportional). This default image size has been set for a reason and ensisting it be different appears to be your person preference; your previous justification that 125px is used on all the other military articles is not correct. If you want this to change, I recommend you work to have the template changed for a personal preference is just that and will get reverted time and again. --McChizzle (talk) 23:53, 18 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Signaleer, you have entered the realm of WP:SILENCE. Your edit will be reverted soon. --McChizzle (talk) 14:53, 7 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
