User:Stevanb added information that IANA has assigned operation of .rs to an organisation called RNIDS, which I reverted. It was put back with the comment Kjd if something is not clear to you, you can ask me a question on discussion, you don't need to reverse my updates. RNIDS is official, and accepted bu IANA!. I have reverted it again because there is no citation to this effect, the IANA page [1] contradicts this, and there is no delegation report at [2], and there is no entry in the DNS root. --kjd12:24, 24 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
RNIDS is official because it was founded by the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection, Yugoslav internet domanin name regitry www.nic.yu (Serbia still uses .yu ccTLD) and other organizations.
RNIDS already decided everything about domain registration, and brought development plan.
On the RNID temporarly website www.rnids.nic.yu it is explained that paperwork with IANA will be finished by the end of 2006. and that registration will start within firt 3 months of 2007. There are also written further conditions of registration and etc.
There are much more information about RNIDS and .rs on www.rnids.nic.yu and on www.nic.yu. Only problem is that everything is written in Serbian, but if you don't trust me you can ask other Serbian speakers, thay can confirm that this, written here, is truth and aslo written at these websites.
That, of course, completely doesn't answer the question. In essence you are saying that the Serbian Ministry of Science is thinking to apply to operate .RS with IANA. That is completely different to saying they either have been accepted by IANA as the operator, or that they are the operator. This is against Wikipedia Policy: Wikipedia is not a Crystal Ball, and its demonstrably false. --kjd01:39, 25 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I have changed it back, and added a more true statement that RNIDS is one of the contenders to operator .RS --kjd01:55, 25 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
