editI think that this page should be devoted to the more general (a,b,n) class, with the (a,b,0) subclass as a section in the larger article. Thoughts anyone? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bakunin82 (talk • contribs) 16:59, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Some explanation of what the 0 in (a,b,0) represents could be helpful. My understanding is that with an (a,b,0) class of distributions, applies when k>0, and the more general (a,b,1) class applies the same recurrence when k>1, so permitting zero-inflation or (possibly partial) truncation of zero, with nobody interested in an (a,b,2) or higher class. If so, this could be mentioned briefly in the article. If extended analysis of (a,b,1) is worthwhile, then it could be a separate article. --2A00:23C6:148A:9B01:79F7:BB68:D77B:2A26 (talk) 00:19, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
