I have removed the following paragraph:

Distribution:When first noticed by Europeans this bird was only found on Hawaii, the largest island on the archipelago. In prehistoric times it had a wide distribution, however, as fossils have been foundo Kauai, Molokai and Oahu.^[1]

because it was added by an editor who has subsequently made vandalistic edits, and the sources I can find online such as http://books.google.co.nz/books?id=zTvP14I3uc4C&pg=PA1024&dq=Ciridops+anna+Kauai&hl=en&ei=hXITTqCbKOygmQX2mLyjDg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCkQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=Ciridops%20anna%20Kauai are not clear that the fossils found on other islands are of this species. If the book ref checks out, or an alternative ref can be found, please restore it to the article.-gadfium 20:29, 5 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
