Alt codes

edit

The article's suggested alt codes of ALT 399 and ALT 601 give Å and Y for me. Anyone else find the same thing? Mglovesfun (talk) 11:22, 22 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Did you try a leading zero, i.e. Alt+0 3 9 9 and Alt+0 6 0 1? — Christoph Päper 10:04, 1 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

proposed split

So let's discuss it. How would you divide the content between Ə and Ǝ? —Tamfang (talk) 15:45, 18 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

That is a great question. I would relocate the capitalized schwa content to either Schwa or Mid central vowel. As for the “Ǝ”, I could only think of it as a redirect for the Eminem video stylized as such.—Bde1982 17:02, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Superscript ᵊ

edit

redirects here, but its use (IPA: mid-central vowel release) is not covered in the prose and it’s also not mentioned in the schwa article. — Christoph Päper 09:53, 1 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I have now added some information on the superscript variant. Alas, the subscript redirects to Unicode subscripts and superscripts instead. How should we deal with this? — Christoph Päper 10:51, 1 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Əə — yep, the method I described still works, provided (as I said) that the “Extended” keymap is selected. —Tamfang (talk) 01:58, 16 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
