Þórður GuðjónssonThordur Gudjonsson – The WP:COMMONNAME in English is "Thordur Gudjonsson", per all the English-language references in the article. Wikiacc () 15:22, 23 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose The current title is the correct version of his name in the Latin alphabet and I think transliteration should only be required where names originate in a language using a different alphabet. Number 57 10:55, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Comment Agree with the others above based on Wiki conventions to keep title as Icelandic name; however perhaps it would be useful to add the English translation in-text in the opening sentence? Not sure about the rules/past convention regarding this. For example, "Þórður Guðjónsson (transliterated as Thordur Gudjonsson; (born 14 October 1973) is an Icelandic former footballer who played as a Midfielder or striker." Is that something that could work and be helpful? This is how it is done on Eiður Guðjohnsen's wiki page RedPatchBoys (talk) 18:19, 28 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
