Wikiproject France assessment edit

WikiProject France Assessment

This article was listed on WikiProject France under articles needing assessment. This article has been rated start-class because:

  • It is indeed informative, however some of the text, which appears to be translation work, needs to be edited with an eye for grammar and style. e.g.: "The École du Louvre holds one of the largest collections of History of Art and Archaeology references, including a large photographic collection. This fund is accessible to students and habilitated academics only." (I fixed this one).
  • It has useful images.
  • This article needs to be referenced.

WP:UNI Assessment edit

  • Needs additional sourcing and expansion to get to C class (for instance history is silent from 1927 to 1998). Aboutmovies (talk) 11:45, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

Hello, There is a problem with several information without sources (and rather false, might I say) on this page.

"The École du Louvre is an institution of higher education and a French Grande École". No, the Ecole du Louvre is not a Grande Ecole. The matter has already been discussed on the wiki french page of the Ecole du Louvre. [1]

"The École du Louvre is unique in that selectivity is not limited to the initial competitive entrance exam to the undergraduate program. There is a highly selective process between the first and second years, the result of which students may not continue to complete the degree which is a manifestation of the French conception of selection towards excellence in higher education" Sorry, but that's a general feeling from the editor of this page. I think there's no source about that neither in english, nor in french.

Please feel free to contact me for any question. My user page doesn't exist in english, but in french it has been verified as an official account of the Ecole du Louvre. [2]
