2013 PGA Championship results
editThere is inconsistency in how Ángel Cabrera's scoring at the 2013 PGA Championship was reported.
- Some web sites report WD (withdrawn) with a score of 80 for round one and nothing for round two.[1][2][3][4][5]
- Some web sites report WD and that he played 11 holes of round two.[6] Fox News has a detailed report from which we can see that round 2 he started at hole 10 and played even par for the first nine holes (two birdies, two bogeys). He then double-bogeyed hole 1 and birdied hole 2.[7][8] That tallies to a score of +1 (44) through 11 holes.4+3+4+5+4+3+4+4+4+(4+2)+(4-1)
- Some web sites report WD and that he played 12 holes of round two.[9] When looking for media leaderboards I found one that listed him as WD with 80 for R1, and 49 for R2 implying a bogey on the 12th hole (hole 3). Unfortunately, I did not save that URL.
- One report reports WD, that he played 12 holes, and that when he left he was one over indicating he made par on the 12th hole.[10]
- The PGA is reporting NC (No Card) for round two.[11] One news article reports 'Cabrera originally had a "NC" next to his name which means "no card" but eventually announced his withdrawal with the wrist.'[12] That report does not say that the NC" next to his name was changed to a "WD" though. I've e-mailed both the PGA webmaster and public relations asking for clarification on the "NC" report.
One of the sources cited in several news reports for the WD is Dave Shedloski's twitter feed which says "Angel Cabrera is WD with a left wrist injury. 9:19 AM - 9 Aug 13." Dave Shedloski is apparently and editor for a golf magazine. I don't know if he's a WP:RS. --Marc Kupper|talk 04:13, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
His Nickname "El Pato"
editAngel Cabrera does walk like a duck and hence is called "El Pato", however in a You Tube interview, he said his father was called that and he inherited the name.
